Crispy Fishball
One of my latest experiences of the past days was when I found myself in the store. I had an unexpected early customer for a ‘fish ball’, and to be honest I didn’t know how to operate the gas yet because this is a new extension to my business. I asked my lady neighbor how to lit the fire but she didn’t know either. Something must have gone wrong after it eventually got lighted: the flames got wild and roaring, we both panicked and didn’t know what to do. There was one guy however who saw us cramming in order to lower the fire. But he just pointed out and said: ‘you have to get a wet rag, top the flame with it’… but the damn guy refrained from helping us, till the fire got low again. Then he moved to the stove pretending to help us. The fish balls got too ‘crispy’ by then, and had to be thrown away.
